Louisiana Film Prize hosted a brunch to cap off their third annual festival. They also awarded one short film $50,000.

Louisiana Film Prize has finished yet another year. A record 105 films were submitted this year, and the Top 20 did not disappoint.

At the brunch, five films were selected to receive the Founder's Circle Grant, which mean if they come back next year to make a film for the festival, they will receive up to $3,000 in credit for the expenses. The winners received a trophy as well.

Those films were:

"Addam"

"Based on Rosenthal"

"Lovable"

"The Future is Crowd Funded"

"True Heroes"

 

This year,the Prize also gave out best actor and actress awards. The winner received a trophy and a cash prize.

The winners were:

Best Actor: James Palmer from "Snip"

Best Actress: Chelsea Bryan from "Angel of Joy"

 

The top five films were:

"Lovable"

"Based on Rosenthal"

"Snip"

"True Heroes"

"A Bird's Nest"

 

And the grand prize winner was:

"True Heroes"
