Louisiana Should Be One Of The Top 10 Happiest States

Since moving to Louisiana I have met some really amazing people. People who smile and laugh and share conversations without judgement. This was something I wasn't expecting when moving here. Not saying that I expected people to be mean, but I always had this idea that people who lived in the city were not as talkative or just closed off to themselves. I was wrong. Every where I have gotten the chance to explore in the SBC I am greeted by people that smile with their eyes not just their teeth, genuinely nice people. So why are we not on the top 10 happiest states list?

According to Huffington Post the Top 10 Happiest States in America are as follows:

1. Utah
2. Minnesota
3. North Dakota
4. Hawaii
5. Colorado
6. Idaho
7. Iowa
8. Nebraska
9. South Dakota
10. California

Excuse me! Oh no you didn't Huff Po! You failed to mention Louisiana. I get that the states mentioned are places that have beautiful scenery but come on! These states don't have LSU, or Southern Made Donuts. And I am pretty sure that they can't make gumbo like Louisiana makes gumbo. Don't even get me started on Mardi Gras. Huff Po do you realize the culture here in Louisiana is unreachable by any other state. We even have our own Disney Princess. This is a big deal.
