The Morning Madhouse started the tradition of Jocks in the Box many years ago.  Originally, it was a marathon of suffering designed to illicit sympathy from holiday shoppers.  That sympathy turned into donations that helped area kids, but there was just something wrong about it.  We knew that this platform was much bigger than just the donations, it could be a symbol of giving and hope for everyone.  What better way to celebrate the season of giving than to involve your friends, co-workers, and family in the process.  For families, it's the exact situation you need to teach kids (and some adults) the magic of giving.  For friends and co-workers, it's a way to reach a goal as a team and give back to your community at the same time!  When we truly embraced the importance of giving - we knew that making the toy drive fun for families was the best way to encourage giving and make the event as memorable as possible for everyone!

On Friday night (12/8) from 6-8pm, our partners at Game On will be rolling out their state of the art video game trailer with big screen monitors and networked gaming systems.  Want to play a game with all of your friends? No problem! We'll also have a visit from Bricks 4 Kids, so if you or your kids like Legos - you're in luck!  Bricks 4 Kids uses Legos to educate and entertain, and on Friday - they'll be helping kids build an awesome reminder of their donation.  We'll also have a face-painter on hand, bounce house, Hot Chocolate provided by CC's Coffee, and more!  We just ask that you bring a new, unwrapped toy, monetary donation, or a bicycle to our Jocks In The Box headquarters in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot just off of Airline Drive in Bossier City.  The donations benefits Operation Santa Claus, Roy's Kids, and The Shriner's Children's hospital of Shreveport - the lesson benefits us all.

Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
