Wow! We had a crazy mess on 220 this morning. Even the Shreveport Police are having to take a second to put it all together. Here's a run down of what happened from the Shreveport Police Departments Public Information Officer, Bill Goodin:

Initially we were dispatched at 6:08 am to 3132 east at Interstate 20 for a single vehicle crash involving an 18 wheeler carrying lumber. That vehicle tumped over on the entrance ramp there and dumped the lumber on the roadway. Officers began diverting traffic from 3132 east to Interstate 20 west. The driver was injured and transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

At 9:35 am we were dispatched to Interstate 220 west just west of the Jefferson Paige Road exit relative to a crash involving an 18 wheeler and at least one other vehicle. At least one person was transported to LSUHSC.

At 9:58 am we were dispatched to Interstate 220 west just east of the Jefferson Paige Road exit relative to a major crash . Officers discovered 3 vehicles involved and at least one person was transported to LSUHSC with serious injuries.

At 10:45 am. we were dispatched to Interstate 220 east at the South Lakeshore Drive exit for a minor crash involving two vehicles. No injuries reported at this time.

Still getting information and I will keep you updated. Thanks, Bill
