Man Hijacks EgyptAir Plane To Win His Ex-Wife Back

This is one of those stories that can't be true, but is.

If you woke up this morning and went straight to Twitter, like I did, you noticed that #EgyptAir was the number one trend worldwide.

Quickly, I was scared because it was reported that an EgyptAir plane had been hijacked. At this point, no one really knew what was going on but everyone knew it was terrorism. Shortly after, news broke that it was not terrorism at all, it was just a lunatic trying to win his ex-wife back.

Love is in the air, I guess.

This man hijacked the plane using a fake bomb-belt, and demanded the plane be detoured to Lancara. His ex apparently lives near the airport.

When the plane landed, police realized how unstable this mas was. He began "changing his mind and asking for different things," One of his demands was that the plane be refueled so that he could travel to Istanbul, which was rejected.

After a brief standoff with authorities, the hijacker deplaned and was arrested. Luckily, no one on board was hurt in any way other than maybe emotionally. Eighty-one people, including 21 foreigners and 15 crew, had been on board the Airbus 320.

The craziest part of the story comes from inside the plane mid-hijack. Someone, somehow, snapped a picture with the hijacker! Check this insane pic out!
