Mardi Gras Madness is truly in full swing in Northwest Louisiana with FIVE EVENTS this weekend! We sure hope you're ready to let the good times roll this weekend! Here's the scoop on what's going down:

The Krewe of Sobek has a busy weekend planned with their Grand Bal tonight at the Shreveport Convention Center followed by their annual parade tomorrow. Doors open tonight at 6pm and the presentation of royalty will take place at 8pm. Attire is formal with light hors d'oeuvres on offer as well as a cash bar.

The Krewe of Sobek parade starts at 1pm Saturday with special guest Sheryl Underwood from The Talk as their Grand Marshall. The parade rolls through Queensborough with staging beginning at 11am at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.

Shreveport's diversity Krewe, the Krewe of Atlas will also celebrate Mardi Gras in high fashion tonight, Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Shreveport Convention Center. Doors open at 6:30pm with Tableau at 7:30pm. The attire is formal and the theme is 'Supernatural.' Please note that no tickets will be sold at the door. Guests can expect heavy hors d'oeuvres and music by SiDE fX.

The mighty Krewe of Centaur celebrates 25  years in the Ark-La-Tex Saturday at the Shreveport Convention Center. Doors open at 6:30pm with Tableau at 8:00pm. Attire is formal and tickets will be available at the door for $80. Guests can expect a dinner buffet from Silver Star Smokehouse and music by The Shreveport Soul Orchestra.

Finally, on Sunday, the animal krewe, the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, will select their four legged royalty Sunday, January 17 for their parade Sunday, January 30, 2016 at their royalty raffle! Here's what their Facebook page has to say about the event:

Royal Raffle: Barkus and Meoux Pet Parade Royal Raffle will be held this Sunday (January 17) from 12:00- 2:00 at Metro PCS (1655 E Bert Kouns in front of Wal-Mart.) Registration for the Parade is $25.00 for the first pet and $10.00 for additional pet. T-shirts will be available for purchase. Additional Royal Raffle chances are available for $1 each - stuff the ballot box for your pet and support pets in our area too!

Uno says, "My servant David Duggar may be the 'King Ambassador' this year for Barkus and Meoux, but it is cat (or dog, pony, snake, frog, turtle, mouse, bird, ...) who will be the true King of the Pet Parade."

So come on out Sunday and buy the parade t-shirt, register your pet for the parade, and take a chance (or many chances) to make your pet the King or Queen or a Royal Court member of the Pet Parade!
