Nickelodeon announced Wednesday that "Lone Survivor" star Mark Wahlberg will host the network's Kids' Choice Awards at the University of Southern California's Galen Center March 29.

Russell Hicks, the network's president of content development and production, said in a statement, "We are thrilled to welcome a superstar like Mark Wahlberg as he takes the helm as our master of ceremonies at the biggest kid event of the year. We can't wait for him to host and have lots of slime-filled fun with Hollywood's biggest stars and our audience."

Nominees will be announced in mid-February. Wahlberg's next film will be Michael Bay's "Transformers: Age of Extinction", coming to theaters June 27.
