Mel Gibson Has Finally Been Freed from His Ex-Wife…and Half His Money

Mel Gibson is finally a divorced man and his ex-wife is walking away a very rich woman. Mel was married to Robyn Gibson for nearly 30 years and they had 7 children together. He later stated that he left her because they had no spiritual common ground and she filed for divorce back in 2009.

But since there was never a pre-nup in place, Robyn is legally entitled to half of everything he earned during their marriage. He grossed more than $600mil from ‘The Passion of the Christ’ alone, another $100 plus million in real estate investments, and another $75 mil from his film and TV projects. Robyn is estimated to walking away with $850 million, which is considered to be the biggest divorce payout in Hollywood history.

No wonder the guy went nuts!
