Memorial Garden Dedicated To SPD Officer Thomas LaValley

A memorial garden to honor slain Shreveport Police Officer Thomas LaValley was dedicated Saturday at Betty Virginia Park. LaValley's family and friends gathered at the park to unveil the memorial dedicated to the fallen hero.

LaValley's mother Jackie and former Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover were among those there to see the granite bench and plaque etched with the fallen officer's name, image and badge number.
