The words "injury" and "Fournette" should never be used in the same sentence if you're an LSU fan. Unfortunately the last week or so a walking boot on the ankle of the LSU star running back Leonard Fournette has had many a Tiger fan at least a little anxious.

Two weeks ago when a sprained ankle sidelined arguably the most feared running back in the Southeastern Conference there was immediate concern in Baton Rouge. The LSU medical staff has been working closely with Fournette in helping the highly regarded running back get back to game condition.

Yesterday LSU Coach Les Miles updated the media on Fournette's condition. In a story published on SECCountry.com indicated that Fournette should be able to rejoin Tiger practices as they continue to prepare for the season opener in Green Bay against Wisconsin.

Not having Fournette in the line up would be a big blow to the Tiger offense. Last year he rushed for 1,953 yards last season with 22 touchdowns. His average yards per carry was 6.5. Currently odds makers have LSU as a 9 to 10 point favorite.
