The tweet quotes theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss as saying, You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded ... So forget Jesus. Stars died so you could live."

Fans are beside themselves, with some even tweeting at Cyrus to "go to hell".
