Um, wow.

After only four months, Miss Universe Puerto Rico Kristhielee Caride has been stripped of her crown.

The decision was announced by the director of Miss Universe Puerto Rico, Desiree Lowry, during a press conference Thursday, according to Univision.

"I saw the damage that she was doing and the damage that she was doing to the organization," said Lowry.

Reports say that Lowry was not-too-pleased while accompanying Caride during a newspaper interview when she said “I just do not like cameras.”

“I wanted the earth to swallow me,” said Lowry of the incident, according to the Associated Press. “You always have to put your best face forward … it’s a given that we are going to be in front of cameras and that we have to answer all types of questions.”

The organization announced that Brenda Jimenez will take over as Miss Universe Puerto Rico.

"I am really excited and extremely anxious," said Jimenez. "I haven't processed it yet."
