Morning Madhouse Talks Pet Royalty with Krewe of Barkus and Meoux

As someone who absolutely adores animals, I love what the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux do. As Tresa Frye, Captain of Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, explains in our interview they are a "krewe with a cause".

The Animal Krewe helps out multiple organizations in the Shreveport/ Bossier City area that benefit animals.

Also in their Krewe, they do their royalty a little bit differently than other Krewes in our area. They have the human royalty ambassadors, but the true royalty is the animals. That is determined at the Pet Royalty Raffle that is happening this weekend. It will take place at Rotolo's on E 70th street in Shreveport from 12-3. The money that is raised goes back into the community to help animals in need.
