Stage Center is opening up their sixth season with an Alfred Hitchcock classic turned comedy when they open "The 39 Steps" at the Emmett Hook Theatre in downtown Shreveport. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 2 for Hitchcock’s "The 39 Steps" adapted by Patrick Barlow. Daniel Salazar will direct & design the production.

The show is a standard "Whodunit" but with an amazing twist, only four people will act in the show, bringing a slew of characters to life through pantomime and an amazing use of hats.

A beautiful woman. An unsuspecting victim. A whole lot of fun! One part epic spy-tale, one part madcap comedy extravaganza. THE 39 STEPS follows innocent bystander Richard Hannay as he races cross-country to solve a mysterious crime–before it's blamed on him! Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with
a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have "The 39 Steps," a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre! This 2-time Tony® and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of 4), an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance!

The production stars Betty Cummings (Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret), Luke Sexton (Richard Hannay), Benjamin Williamson (Man #1), Joe Signorelli (Man #2).
