My Grandma Thinks I am Destined to be an Old Maid

Being the only person in my family without a partner or children, I become the black sheep of the family.

This past weekend I went to visit my family in Tyler, Texas. It was my nephew's birthday party. He was turning 2. The kids were running around and playing. My grandma and I were sitting in a couple chairs and watching the kids play when she leans over to me and kisses me on the cheek and says, "I think you're gunna be an old maid like me." My mother heard this and immediate snapped, "Don't tell her that! She is too sensitive."

BTW, the dictionary says that an old maid is a woman who is too old to get married and pretty much destined to be alone forever. Thanks grandma...
