After an indictment in September, Mystikal has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree rap and second-degree kidnapping.

The rapper, born Michael Tyler, was originally indicted for an assault that allegedly occurred outside of a Louisiana casino in October 2016. Twenty-six-year-old Averweone Darnell Holman was also indicted for his alleged role in the incident.

In August, another woman indicted in the case, Tenichia Wafford, claimed the alleged victim was lying. "Ain’t nobody did nothing to that girl, like for real,” Wafford told TMZ in a video message. “She even told me—and yes, I got it on record—that she said ain’t nobody did nothing to her. This is some bullshit though, they done threw me for a loop, ’cause if I would’ve knew all that, I wouldn’t have even called. I just called to check up on a friend. That’s all I was doing.”

Mystikal is currently being held at Caddo Correctional Center in Louisiana. His bond is set at $3 million. But according to the Caddo district attorney's office, the rapper plans to file a motion for a bond reduction during his next hearing which is scheduled for Jan. 18, 2018.
