Former 'N Sync member Joey Fatone offered a simple piece of easier said than done advice to Justin Bieber, whose image is taking a beating in the media as he behaves badly. Fatone declared, "Don't be a douche."

The former boy bander, who was able to navigate the trappings of fame surrounded by four other bandmates, can relate to what Da Biebs is going through. He contextualized the situation, saying, "You're on top of the world, everyone is 'yessing' you to death. So you think, 'I can get away with that.'"

Fatone said that he knows Biebs' manager Scooter Braun very well, and that "he does as much as he can" when it comes to curtailing Bieber when he begins acting up. But at the end of the day, while he may be the world's most famous (and most followed, on Twitter and by the paparazzi) teenager, he is still a teenager.

Fatone reasoned, "He's a kid. You're going have fun. You're going to lash out. You're gonna make mistakes. Everyone does."

Ya hear that, Biebs? Joey Fatone is on your side. The media needs to let up a little and realize that Bieber is a teenager doing what teenagers do. Only there is a huge, blinding spotlight on him.
