People reveals that Natalie Portman and fiance, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, have named their first child Aleph, which is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

According to People, the name has a more mystical interpretation, having to do with the beginnings of the universe and also translates into the "primordial one that contains all numbers".
