Sports became more than sports this past weekend when Nebraska paid tribute to their late punter during their game. Same Foltz died in a car wreck in July, along with Michigan State punter Mike Sadler.

On Saturday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers played their first game since losing Sam, and paid tribute to him in the most awesome way possible.

The first time Nebraska lined up for a punt, they did so without a punter on the field. Quickly fans and even opposing players realized what was going on and began to applaud the incredible move. The team let the clock go all the way down to zero, resulting in a delay of game. This would normally be a five-yard penalty, but Fresno State declined the penalty out of respect for the opposing team and the player they tragically lost.
