A group of teenage girls from New York City are developing an app that can help make sure no kids at school go hungry. In the past few years many stories have come out about kids who didn't have lunch money having to go hungry or having to work for their lunch. These amazing girls are doing their part to make sure that every child at school has a good lunch.

The app is called Food For Thought and it's a brand new way to pay for lunch. Many schools allow you to pay for your child's lunch online already, but this app takes it a step further. Not only can you pay for your child's lunches, but you can anonymously pay for other kids who otherwise wouldn't have a lunch for whatever reason. A normal lunch costs between $2-3 per child.

To make sure that this app isn't taken advantage of by parents there's applications and requirements in place to get the kids who will benefit from the app.
