It’s no secret that Lil Wayne was very influential in Nicki Minaj’s career. Over the weekend, while she was shooting a video for David Guetta’s “Light My Body Up” with Wayne in Miami, the rap empress went on her Instagram page to reflect on her mentor.

In the gorgeous photo above, Minaj is looking like a warrior princess with her brown leather bikini, matching lace mask and high-heeled stilettos. In the caption, she writes, "I am da ninja. Weezy is my sensei. So I call him Splinter. Faster than a sprinter. Gimme my chopsticks I'll have these rap [bitches] 4 dinner."

If you are familiar with those lines, you would know they are from Minaj's song "Go Hard" from her 2009 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty.

She then reflects on recording the song for the first time with Tunechi. "He's on the freestyle with me called "Go HARD." she writes. "It was my first time listening to it WITH him in the same room. Same studio right here in Miami."

"He looked me dead in the eyes and in that (whisper voice), he smiled & said 'I f--- wit it Nic, but the only thing is that... Splinter was a RAT. And we don't FUK wit no RATSSSSSSS. FKN GOAT @liltunechi YOUNG MONEY TIL DA DEATH OF ME!!!!!!”

Since joining Young Money, the Queen Barbz and Weezy F. Baby have been making beautiful music together. Most recently, the two have collaborated on “Changed It” and “No Frauds.”

Below are photos from the set of David Guetta's video for "Light My Body Up."

In one photo, Minaj writes in the caption: "Stakes are higher than a mutha. What u wanna bet that you'll never find another? like me. I'm once in a lifetime. Only get all of me once in ya lifetime. I'll leave u drowning in your wet dream."

Well there you have it. Nicki Minaj is a tidal wave so you better brace yourself for the deluge. It looks like she's going to have a stellar year, like her YMCMB labelmate Drake.
