While fans have had their patience tested by Nicki Minaj in recent years, especially considering the fact her latest studio album arrived in 2014, The Pinkprint rapper is finally starting to open up about what will be her highly anticipated fourth body of work.

During a recent conversation with Dazed, the 34-year-old firmly states that her next album will double as the beginning of a new era, one that she describes will be "a billion times more epic than anything 'Anaconda' could have delivered."

She then elaborates on her self-declared new chapter, adding, "I think this era will definitely be the most memorable and the most impactful of my career yet."

Minaj, who has spent a majority of this year working on her elusive new album, has remained relatively tight-lipped about the project, revealing to the publication that her choice to keep the details to herself has been an intentional, conscious decision.

"I’ve made it my business with this album to not even put a date or a deadline on it," she explains. "I can’t say if I’m 50 percent, 80 percent or 10 percent done, because I don’t know. Tomorrow, I might walk into the studio and decide that I don’t like anything I’ve done in the last six months. Or, tomorrow I might walk in and feel like the whole album is done. There’s so much beauty in not knowing. I just want to go in the studio and create like I used to, before there were any expectations. You know? When I was just having fun, working on my mixtapes, going in and creating... writing my little life."

While her fans may both appreciate and be frustrated as to why 2014's The Pinkprint has yet to see a formal follow-up, Minaj has remained generous with her guest features, appearing on a slew of collaborative tracks including Yo Gotti's first entry in the Billboard 100's top 10, "Rake It Up," earlier this summer.

In addition to keeping busy perfecting her new album, something she has previously promised will be a "classic hip-hop album that people will never forget," Minaj is also reportedly dating hip-hop royalty, Nas, as well as recently dropped her brand new collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, further proving that her blessings are in no short supply these days.
