Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. rocker Nikki Sixx will have an honor typically bestowed upon hometown celebrities this weekend when he gets to throw out the first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home game this Sunday (May 27) against the Houston Astros.

Sixx, having fun with the honor on Twitter, explained, “No pressure there,” while the team’s account tweeted back that he should “aim high and hit the mark” and suggested that Tommy Lee might want to catch for him. For those in the Los Angeles area, the game will air on PRIME at 12:30PM PT.

The bassist also took to Facebook page, and wrote this: “This Sunday the Los Angeles Dodgers have asked me to throw out the 1st pitch of the game. Being from Los Angeles, this is a a huge honor for me.”

The game is just part of Sixx’s busy schedule, as he’s planning to rejoin Motley Crue this summer for a tour with KISS. He’s also just released the new single and video ‘Are You With Me Now‘ from his other band Sixx: A.M. and it’s tied to a City of Hope fundraiser. As if that weren’t enough, Sixx hosts a radio show called ‘Sixx Sense,’ is the co-founder of the Royal Underground rock couture fashion line and is an avid photographer.
