The weather broke just in time for both days of the air show to dazzle fans from all over the area.

I'm not going to lie, I was one of those people who thought the air show as going to be canceled. The weather forecast showed 80-90% chances of rain on Saturday. However, the men and women in uniform wisely advised us to keep our plans in tact. I'm so glad they did.

Although windy, the clouds broke and gave us a beautiful backdrop to see these guys fly.

It was so sunny, I actually got some tan lines and left with a sunburned face. I didn't even stay for the entire show either day! Eyes were also glued to the sky to watch the heritage flight with the B-29 and B-52 (the big brother and little brother, as some call them) to kick off the show. Fans were able to see plenty of static displays featuring the pride of Barksdale the B-52, a KC-135, C-17, C-130, T-38, T-6, B-1, B-2 and more. It was all topped off with a stellar performance from the ever-inspiring USAF Thunderbirds.

Also, fun fact. One of the stunt pilots (if you were there he was in the yellow plane doing flips), is from Shreveport. His name is Kevin Coleman is now a pilot with the Red Bull Air Racers. At 26, he is the youngest pilot to compete in the 2016 season.

Here are some photos I got throughout the show.
