Dance Marathon is a popular fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network and thanks to Northwood, we'll have one right here in Shreveport-Bossier.

The Key Club at Northwood High School is putting on a dance marathon that will benefit Children's Miracle Network. According to Faith Jackson, the club sponsor, Key Club is an internationally student-led organization that focuses on service projects to better both Northwood and the community.

This year, they are focusing on raising money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. For Shreveport-Bossier, this is the children's hospital at Christus Health. The goal is to help the children in our local hospitals receive the care and equipment they need to recover.

Coming off of our very first Miracle Maker Radiothon for Children's Miracle Network, we couldn't be more ecstatic.

At Northwood's "Dance for a Chance" on May 1, 2015, participants will stay on their feet for four hours dancing for the children in hospitals that can't. Dancers can also raise money by getting others to sponsor them. "Dance for a Chance" will be held in the New Gym at Northwood High School from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
