Bossier sheriff's deputies, along with Shreveport police officers and firefighters, will join Santa Claus at Shriners Hospital for the 'Barney Cannon Smile Run.'

The group will be there Tuesday, December 15, at 10 a.m., giving toys to patients at the children's hospital in front of the big Christmas tree. Afterward, the kids will go outside and enjoy playing in the foam 'snow' made by firefighters.

This is an event that's very near and dear to our hearts here at Townsquare Media, because it's named after our very own KWKH radio personality Barney Cannon, who passed away in 2009. He was known for ending his radio show with, "May God be with you and you be with God. And you're never fully dressed unless you're wearing a big ole smile."

OSC began in 1984 as an effort to spread some Christmas cheer to less-fortunate children in our area. Your donations of new toys and money have allowed us the opportunity to put 'big ole smiles' on thousands of kids' faces.

This is an event we all look forward to every year!
