January 11, 2013 The Krewe of Akewa is holding their Grand Bal this evening at the Centaur Den and it's theme is 'Cajun Fairytales.' Captain Penny Zimmerman told us there would be lots of fun twists to your favorite children's stories and plenty of Cajun cousine.
Locals and visitors alike will get a brand new way to enjoy the whole local Mardi Gras experience with Parti-Gras 2013.

January 7, 2013 The Mardi Gras season officially kicked off Saturday night with the 12th Night Celebration hosted by the Krewes of Centaur and Gemini at the Bossier Civic Center. But on Friday night the area royalty got the chance to let their hair down in a casual setting at the annual Royalty Mixer at the Centaur Den.
January 2, 2013 I dropped off five Mardi Gras dresses to the cleaners today and got a Dryel for the rest that can't be dry cleaned... I'm getting my nails done tonight and I plan to Mystic in the morning. Yep, Mardi Gras kicks off this Saturday and I CAN'T WAIT!!!
