What a way to get your name back in the headlines...

Paris Hilton is hopping mad at pranksters who sent a fake tweet attributed to her which read, "RIP Nelson Mandela. Your 'I Have a Dream' speech was so inspiring. An amazing man."

The tweet gained traction quickly, and had been retweeted 15,000 times by the time Paris heard about it.

Paris blasted the Twitter account @DeletedTweets, but not before giving her real condolences to the former South African president, tweeting, "Just landed & heard the sad new about Nelson Mandela. He was a true Hero & the world is a better place because of him. May he rest in peace."

She then added, "Whoever made that stupid fake tweet lacks respect to the loss the world is mourning right now. Same goes for all the blogs who ran with it."

Mandela died Thursday at the age of 95 after being in declining health for some time.
