A large section of Interstate 220 is shut down this morning as crews work to clean up the remnants of an 18 wheeler crash from late Monday night. The Big Rig, which was hauling a load of lumber, crashed into the median just before 11 pm in the construction zone between North Market and Hilry Huckaby.

Police say the lumber for the truck spilled onto both sides of the interstate, causing the roadway to be shut down. Crews have been out all night trying to clean up the mess, but officials believe it will take several more hours before the section of 220 will be re-opened.
