British model and TV personality Peaches Geldof, daughter of musician and Live Aid organizer Bob Geldof, died suddenly Monday at the age of 25, her father announced in a statement.

"At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained and sudden death," said a spokesperson for Kent, England, police. "Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death."

"She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," Bob Geldof said in a statement. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh.

"What a beautiful child," the statement continued. "How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."

Peaches Geldof's mother, British TV personality Paula Yates, died in 2000 of a drug overdose.
