Pokemon Go players are still doing good and making progress in our state.

Earlier this summer, we saw Pokemon Go take over the world. As far as Shreveport-Bossier goes, we saw a group come together to make a difference in our community. Pokemon for Progress collected clothing and supplies for the homeless in our community, and were even seen cleaning up the Duck Pond in Shreveport.

Now, they're helping out the rest of the state during the flood.

This Sunday, players from all over the area will be setting up donation drives by dropping lures and collecting items needed. One donation drive for each parish from 2 to 6 p.m. From there, the items will be gathered at a central location for pickup.

Then on Monday morning, the items will be delivered.

Pokemon Go is working with state police to make sure that the items get delivered to the proper places. All of the donations will be divided between Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

To find out how to set up a donation location, what items are needed, and how to get involved, find Pokemon for Progress on Facebook.
