Popular Shreveport Bar Up In Flames, SFD Investigating

Ernie's Bar has quickly become a staple in Shreveport nightlife. There, you can find a unique party thrown by an excellent staff, with a genuine owner at the helm.

News broke this morning that Ernie's Bar was found ablaze at around 7:15 AM.

The Shreveport Fire Department arrived on the scene at 7:22 AM and began working to extinguish the fire. At around 7:35, SFD finally got the fiery monster under control, but it certainly took some man-power. It took 8 units and 26 firefighters to bring the fire under control, said SFD Chief of Safety Skip Pinkston.

Luckily, no one was harmed in the blaze as business was closed at the time and no employees were on sight.

SFD's Fire Prevention Bureau is currently investigating the situation, they believe foul play may have been involved.

As for damage caused by the fire, The Shreveport Times are reporting the bar sustained heavy smoke damage and moderate fire damage throughout the building.
