21 Savage may have been out of sight at the 2019 Grammy Awards, but thanks to Post Malone, he wasn’t out of mind.

Even though the “A Lot” rapper couldn’t be at the televised ceremony due to his current fight against being deported, his presence was felt as a result of Post Malone wearing a shirt that simply read “21 Savage.” Post, who performed "Rockstar" at the show and joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers as well, was pictured backstage with the pro-21 gear. During the performance, Post rocked the shirt under his black and purple jacket.

The Grammy-nominated 21 Savage missed his scheduled performance alongside his "Rockstar" collaborator at tonight’s event due to his current legal battle. He’s been detained by ICE since last week, which has resulted in countless support from the hip-hop community.

Other hip-hop stars who hit the Grammy stage included the Grammy Award-winning Cardi B, whose Invasion of Privacy earned Best Rap Album, Travis Scott and Young Thug, who opened the show with Camila Cabello. Drake also appeared to accept his win for Best Rap Song.
