Welcome to Angelville, Preacher. Following a deadly Season 2 cliffhanger and a deadlier wait for official renewal, AMC’s other comic drama has officially begun production of its third season with a slew of sinister casting announcements, including a Falling Skies fave and Super new villain.

Per ComingSoon, the L’Angell family has officially been cast as cameras begin rolling on Preacher Season 3. You’re warned of light spoilers from here on out, but you’ll recall that Season 2 ended with Jesse (Dominic Cooper) reluctantly returning to the L’Angell family of his youth in order to resurrect Tulip (Ruth Negga), though the actual comic characters were largely off-screen. Now, we know Supergirl star Betty Buckley will play “Gran’ma” Marie L’Angell, with Falling Skies alum Colin Cunningham as enforcer “T.C.” and Nashville star Jeremy Childs as Jody. Additionally, Liz McGeeve will play Christina:

Here’s a breakdown of all four characters:

Gran’ma” – A spiritist with true powers, who can cast spells and even bring back the dead (for a price). Pay the fee or pay with your soul to feed Gran’ma’s thirst for eternal youth. She is weathered, tough, and mean, but also intelligent beyond measure. She’s Jesse’s only living family and she loves him.

TC” – A man born of the bayou and the loyal caretaker and soldier for Gran’ma. Weasely and wiry, he’ll gladly tell you about his perversions whether you ask him or not. While he seems like the friendliest guy you’ll ever meet, don’t make the mistake of turning your back on him.

Jody” – Massive and intimidating, Jody emanates danger. He’s the enforcer for Gran’ma and the only man Jesse’s never beaten in a fight. He’s nobody’s fool, and not someone to cross.

Christina” – Capable and efficient, Christina has a face that lures customers in for her family business. Christina hides it well, but she hates her job and has dreams and aspirations outside of her current life – but suffers to protect her child.

Otherwise unclear is if Season 3 will feature the returns of Herr Starr (Pip Torrens), Arseface (Ian Colletti), Hitler (Noah Taylor) or the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish). In the meantime, stay tuned for further details on Preacher’s third season as production gets underway.
