Universal Pictures announced Wednesday that they are shutting down production on "Fast and Furious 7" for an indefinite amount of time while they figure out what they'll do with the footage they've already shot.

However, a two-minute video tribute was posted on the franchise's Facebook page, featuring scenes of Walker in his role as Brian going back to the original 2001 "The Fast and The Furious" to his most recent turn in "Fast & Furious 6."

The decision was made after the sudden and tragic death of the "Fast and Furious" franchise star Paul Walker last Saturday in a fiery car crash which also killed the car's driver, Roger Rodas.

"Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers,"  the studio said in a statement. "At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise."

"We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker."

Enjoy this final salute to another talented actor gone too soon.
