What happens when Lorde's hit single "Team" is sung by a giant guy in clown makeup? Magic. Pure magic.

Puddles, also known as the "sad clown with a golden voice," lent his amazing pipes to Postmodern Jukebox -- a band that consistently cranks out some of the best remixes/covers of the hottest songs.

According to band leader Scott Bradlee, the "Team" cover was fate:

Last week, I got a call from the front desk of my building to inform me that a 7 ft clown was here to see me. Immediately recognizing this to be Puddles, the golden voiced sad clown from our "Royals" cover, I called in the band. Although Puddles doesn't speak, it soon became evident that he wished to cover another Lorde song. So, here's our cover of "Team."

We absolutely love "Team," and this reworked version of Lorde's hit song definitely hits all the right notes. It's a fuller, more orchestrated take on the song. It trades Lorde's breathy, understated voice for Puddle's loud but silky one, plus adds a great pre-chorus buildup.

If you're like us, you'll probably listen to this "Team" cover a few times in a row; it's just that good.
