Justin Bieber, who considers playing pranks a favorite hobby, hosted the season premiere of MTV’s resurrected ‘Punk’d.’ He made a splash and pulled out the big guns –- literally, at least with his first prank of America’s sweetheart Taylor Swift. He also attempted to punk skater Rob Dyrdek, but it was a punking fail. He also pulled a switcheroo on fellow teen superstar Miley Cyrus.

Given all the leaked clips of the Swift punking, known as ‘Firework Wedding,’ we know she thinks she blew up a wedding boat by shooting off an errant firework. What was interesting was how the Biebs lured her to his punking lair. Under the guise of writing session at a makeshift studio in Malibu, Swift arrives toting her guitar in a case. How cute! She was totally unsuspecting. When the boat catches fire, the look of horror on her face is priceless and she springs into action, suggesting they call the coast guard. When the groom growls, “Thanks, Taylor Swift, thanks a lot,” for ruining his big day, the Biebs decides the jig is up.

“I was about to pass out,” Swift said, post-punking. “I thought I would be rotting in a jail cell forever because Justin Bieber made me push a button … so we’re not writing?”

The “unpunkable” Rob Dyrdek was the next target, with Bieber directing the skit, rather than appearing in it. Dyrdek thinks he is meeting an investor at a restaurant when a fight breaks out between a boss and his female assistant. He sniffs it out and knows it’s BS, so to save the prank, Biebs calls Sean Kingston to the scene and recruits the skater to take part in the punkage. When the assistant drives her car into a pole, her boss tries to blame Kingston and Bieber. Kingston tries to talk their way out of it, to no avail. He finds out he was punk’d.

Miley Cyrus thought she was punking Bieber, when in reality, he was punking her while she labored under the illusion that she was the punker (are you following?!). The Biebs shows up at a studio, parking his car in a spot being used by skateboarders. They have words, with the singer booting one skater in the gut and then fleeing the scene of the street fight. Cyrus is terrified, since the actor is writhing on the ground in pain from the boot to the stomach. When he finally returns, she is so shocked she is speechless. Her mouth is agape for about 30 seconds, and then she proceeds to spew cuss words at everyone involved.

If every episode is as entertaining as this one, and we at PopCrush were hyperventilating with laughter from start to finish, it’s going to be a punkariffic season.
