Louisiana Film Prize Festival is October 9 through 12. Here's a closer look at one of the Top 20 films, "Flashbacks."
"Flashbacks" is a sci-fiction directed by Anthony Kung. We asked Anthony a few questions about his film.

What is your film about?

Difficult conversations that need to be had but left unsaid can have a profound effect on relationships, even after death. At the end of the day, it’s our responsibility to have them.

What kind of message are you trying to get across in your film?

Have those important conversations with your loved ones.

Where in Northwest Louisiana did you film?

At the Bosser Chiropractic Clinic behind the Sutton’s Children’s Medical Center.

What were your impressions about Northwest Louisiana, specifically the Shreveport-Bossier area?

It’s a nice change of pace and scenery from the hustle and bustle of life in Dallas, a city that’s relatively more of a concrete jungle.

Would you film in this area again?

Yes.

$50,000 is on the line! What do you plan on doing with the money if you win?

Fulfill my promise and buy treat my cast and crew to a pancake breakfast!

Why should someone vote for your film?

Because, to my knowledge, we have the largest cast and crew (15 actors and 5 crew) so you’re going to make a whole lot of people happy!

Additional thoughts:

I really did this film so that we can get some good demo reel material for my actor friends. Had no idea that we would be in the Top20 and will now be in the running for the top prize. I’m grateful and I’m happy for all those involved in this project because it will, at the very least, give them good exposure to bigger and greater opportunities in the future!
