"The American Dream" is a drama directed by Jason Barry. We asked Chris Colbert, who also worked on the film, about this short film.
What is your film about?

 

It is a story about a young Irish Couple who come to America to fulfill their dream of work success and happiness. All is well until one spouse has an affair and it goes horribly wrong from there

 

What kind of message are you trying to get across in your film?

 

Please watch your loved ones who may be unstable or have a history of depression. If they need help then GET THEM SOME HELP. Do not let things spiral out of control until someone gets hurt

 

Where in Northwest Louisiana did you film?

 

Shreveport – Pie works (provenance) and The Haven Subdivision

 

What were your impressions about Northwest Louisiana, specifically the Shreveport-Bossier area?

 

Great place to shoot a film!!!

 

Would you film in this area again?

 

Absolutely

Because it has such relevancy in today’s world and because the Cinematography was very good and the performances were amazing!!!
