Queen Wears Green Screen Dress; Internet Has Field Day
Queen Elizabeth II recently celebrated her 90th birthday in style. Unfortunately for her, that style has become an overnight internet sensation.
As she stepped out to greet her public, QEII wore what she thought was a tasteful lime green ensemble, topped with a flowered hat and matching bag. What she didn't realize is that her dress was the EXACT color of a green screen.
If you don't know what a green screen is, it is part of the chroma-key process, in which a person stands in front of a screen that is a vibrant green, and, in a special effect process, the green is replaced by whatever needs to be there. Think of a weather forecaster. They stand in front a green screen in the studio, and you see them in front of a big map at home.
Now...what does this have to do with The Queen? Well, the internet has done what it always does, seen a weakness and exploited it.
On the website BoredPanda.com, a whole lot of people have submitted their photoshopped delights for all to enjoy.
