If you've driven down Arthur Ray Teague Parkway, or over the Jimmie Davis or Shreveport-Barksdale bridges, you might have noticed how high the Red River has been lately. Fortunately, it's nowhere near as bad as it was in the spring and summer, when historic flooding damaged roads, structures and homes.

You can tell, however, that the water is much higher than it should be. It's collected in the areas near the bridges, and even seeped into the parking lot at the Arthur Ray Teague boat launch area, where the Bossier Sheriff's Office Substation is located.

The river crested at 31.5 feet over the weekend, and is now beginning to recede. It's expected to drop to below 30 feet by Wednesday.
