Regency Beauty Institute Closes It’s Doors In Shreveport

Cosmetology Students in Shreveport were shocked this week to find that Regency Beauty Institute is closing down it's Youree drive location.

Kaci, my fiance, graduated from Regency a few months ago and she informed me of the closure late last night. I did a little digging and was able to come up with their official announcement and it looks like Shreveport isn't the only campus affected.

As of yesterday, September 28th, all Regency Beauty Institutes across the nation are closed. That counts for 79 campuses and countless students affected.

According to their email sent to students, it was a move that most students and even faculty didn't know about until reading that particular email. Ouch.

Regency claims the decision was made purely based on Revenue, and not any wrong doing by the business itself.

I've loaded the email sent to students and faculty below, but my only question now is, what happens to the current students? Do they have to re-enroll at another school or will they be transferred? Do they have to re-apply for their student loan? I'll try to get answers in that regard ASAP.
