Do you remember when life was simple? When you didn't have to stop the action so the group could pose for 20 minutes to get the right selfie to post on Facebook?

I've had a Facebook account now for 8 or 9 years and in that short time I've witnessed all kinds of things that I'd happily gone most of my life without.  For all intents and purposes, Facebook has reunited scores of friendships, shared some incredible memories and given us a new way to socially connect, but it's also been misused a lot.

Infidelity, illegal acts performed just for the exposure, you name it, Facebook has had its hand in it.  For some of us, we yearn for the days of old.  Those "Days Before Facebook."

Course, you might have seen the new hashtag #BeforeFacebook is trending, and it's because most of us have finally realized that we've seen one too many pictures of someone's dinner plate.  Come on people, most of us have had a steak before.  We really didn't need a picture of yours to help us remember what it tasted like.

#BeforeFacebook - People could go to the gym and not post about it

#BeforeFacebook - Women would actually use the telephone to make snide comments about another member of their family without putting it out there for the whole world to see

#BeforeFacebook - We guys would drive around for hours with our big 8-point buck in the back of the truck.  Now, we not only post a picture of the kill, we post pictures of our food plots, our kids sleeping in the deer stand, even the snake we almost stepped on and need help identifying.

#BeforeFacebook - Kids were forced to listen for hours as Mom and Dad bragged to everyone in their path on their athletic skills, band performance, beauty pageant and other events, instead of determining their self worth by how many likes/shares Dad's video of the performance got on Facebook.

#BeforeFacebook - Only the immediate family was forced into looking at ugly baby pictures.

#BeforeFacebook - Fishermen could lie about the size of that bass.  Hunters could fudge a little on the rack size of that buck and women hadn't figured how to manipulate a camera so their selfie did the same thing.

What do you miss the most #BeforeFacebook?
