I never considered my mother a "nagging" kind of mom. To me, she was wanted me to give my all in everything I do. She would always tell me that if I am going to do something- do it big and don't hold back.

According to Newsner, a research study conducted in the UK by the University of Essex has found that mothers who were "nagged" their daughters were more likely to succeed in life.

The study lasted from 2004 to 2010, and followed 15,500 girls between the ages of 13 and 14.

If you are like me then probably wondering what does this study define as being successful? Well, they found that "nagged" daughters were more likely to finish high school, avoid teen pregnancy, and go on to continue their studies after high school.

Again, my mother never really nagged me. I feel like that is an umbrella term for moms who are involved in their child's life and tend to be a bit pushy. My drive and work ethic came from watching my mom work three jobs in order support my brother and I. She worked hard so that I could have a good life, and I work hard now to make her proud.
