Since the untimely death of Whitney Houston, rumors have been circulating online that a biopic on the late singer was in the works. Although Houston’s mentor Clive Davis has vehemently denied that a movie was in development, it doesn’t hurt to dream. Rihanna has certainly thought about it.

The pop songbird recently expressed interest in portraying Houston on the big screen. “I didn’t get that call yet,” she tells Telegraph. “That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off.”

“That’s a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job,” she adds.

We couldn’t agree more. Rihanna would have to fully immerse herself into the beloved pop icon’s life, including knowing her songs, mannerisms, dialect and vocal range.

While RiRi is up for the challenge, other singers-turned-actresses like Brandy, Jennifer Hudson and ‘Sparkle’ co-star Jordin Sparks are good candidates to play Nippy in the biopic, as well.

Fans will soon find out if Rihanna has any acting skills. The 24-year-old singer will make her acting debut in the upcoming action flick ‘Battleship,’ which opens in theaters in May.
