Rihanna will be saluted for her entrepreneurial spirit at BET’s Black Girls Rock! 2016. The annual event honors women of color in the fields of entertainment, philanthropy, sports and community service.

RiRi will receive the Rock Star Award for her “Work” in the fashion and music worlds as well as her business acumen and philanthropic endeavors. "Thank you @BlackGirlsRock for this years' Rock Star Award!!” tweeted Rihanna.

Among the honorees are soul icon Gladys Knight (Living Legend Award), television producer Shonda Rhimes (Shot Caller Award), The Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira (Star Power Award), actress and activist Amandla Stenberg (Young Gifted and Black Award) and Black Lives Matter founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi (Community Change Agent Award).

The Black Girls Rock! 2016 event, with host Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, will be taped on April 1 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, N.J. for broadcast on April 5 at 8PM ET on BET.
