Ryan Dunn’s Death Causes Twitter Controversy
‘Jackass’ star Ryan Dunn was killed in a car wreck around 3 a.m. Monday morning. The car crashed into a guardrail and caught fire. TMZ has photos of what’s left of the car, and it’s not much. The car was only identified by a door that was thrown off and not incinerated. Ryan was only identified by his tattoos and hair. There was a passenger in the car that was also killed but has not been identified yet.
Ryan was drinking at the bar Barnaby’s of America in West Chester, where it is said he drank at least 3 beers and 3 shots in four hours. He tweeted a picture of him drinking with friends just a few hours before the wreck. Other pictures taken at 1 a.m. showed Ryan looking glassy-eyed.
Not long after the news broke of Ryan’s death, Roger Ebert tweeted ‘Friends don’t let Jackasses drink and drive.’ Perez Hilton tried to call out Roger on his sensitivity, but most people who commented on the story agreed with Roger.
Jackass co-star Bam hadn’t commented on his friends death yet because he was so devastated but decided to respond back to Roger by tweeting, ‘Screw you! Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat mouth.’ Roger hasn’t responded yet.
The rest of the Jackass crew tweeted sweet words about Ryan. The G4 network decided to stop airing Ryan’s show, ‘Proving Ground’ in the wake of his death.
