The San Diego Sea World has announced that they will be ending their long running killer whale show as of today and replacing it this summer with a show that demonstrates the whales in a more natural setting. After years of public outcry no longer will you see trainers being thrown in the air by the whales or whales leaping high in the air to preform tricks.

KSLA reports Al Garver, a former orca trainer and vice president of zoological operations, told the San Diego Union-Tribune (http://bit.ly/2i2Mxo4 ). "We want to be able to demonstrate behaviors people would see in the wild with the killer whales and their abilities as a top predator in the sea. The vast majority of behaviors people have seen in our shows will be very suitable for demonstrating that."

The parks in Orlando and San Antonio will be changing their shows later in 2019 Sea World officials say.
