Blue Lights Shine Across Shreveport-Bossier [PHOTOS]

Residents across Shreveport Bossier turned their homes blue in honor fallen law enforcement officers.

Shreveport Police Officer Thomas LaValley was gunned down less than two weeks ago and his murder sparked this movement to honor all officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

The response has been so great that getting your hands on a blue light bulb has been a tough task.

C&C Lighting and Electric gave out 2,500 blue light bulbs. Folks stood in line to get one of the free bulbs.

Wayne Simmons with C&C electric tells KSLA:

"There wasn't enough light bulbs in Shreveport to pull this off so we got involved and ordered in some light bulbs and the response has been tremendous."

Home Depot, Lowe's and other Home Improvement stores also had trouble keeping up with the demand for blue bulbs.
