See the NYC Freedom Tower Base Jump Firsthand [VIDEO]

Have you ever wanted to jump off of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere? No? Well, you're about to experience it firsthand.

Last fall, three men did something insane! They BASE jumped off the World Trade Center Freedom Tower. Although illegal, the footage is insane.

The video is a little dull at the beginning as the first jumper takes his time before taking the plunge. Our cameraman takes his jump around the 2:30 mark.

For those of you who are not extremists, BASE jumping is an activity in which participants jump off of various objects and use a parachute to break their fall. BASE is actually an acronym that stands for the objects that can be jumped off, like a "building, antenna, span, and Earth."

The Freedom Tower, located in Lower Manhattan, is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, standing 1,776 feet tall. It is also the fourth-tallest skyscraper in the world.

Authorities have been searching for the jumpers, who recently turned themselves in. They will be arraigned in court. Any money that is generated from their video, they assure, will be given to charity.
